Starfish Infertility Foundation December 2018 Q&A

The journey of infertility is a hard one, and everyone’s experience with it is unique. Starfish Infertility Foundation was created so you don’t have to go through it alone. We provide grants to help pay for infertility treatment, as well as any support we can offer. Along with the news of infertility generally comes questions, so many questions. Here are some of the most recent questions we have received on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Question: How does someone qualify for a grant? Answer: Our Braxton grant is currently open for applications. It’s for anyone in the United States that does not receive any help through insurance.

Question: How does someone apply for a grant? Answer: They would go to our website and download an application. Or can click here to go directly to the application. Please keep in mind that our Braxton Gran is currently open for applications. The cutoff date is 12/31/18 and the application process can take a little time.

Question: Can someone apply for a grant if they need to use a gestational carrier? Answer: Yes, absolutely!!!

Question: With what criteria are grants awarded? Answer: You cannot have infertility coverage/benefits through your insurance. Also, the clinic you are using must be registered with sart.org.

Question: How many families do you help annually? Answer: We do our best to help at least two a year. It depends on how much money we raise, sometimes it’s more!
