In 2009, Brandon and I were married and immediately began trying to start a family.  After eight unsuccessful months, we sought medical help and the ensuing three years would be filled with navigating testing and treatment options in the world of infertility.

Since we had no insurance coverage for infertility, the burden of having a biological child of our own fell on our shoulders.  Although we were finally able to find success, it did not come without a price tag. We have been extremely open regarding our struggles and many have contacted us with their infertility stories and need for additional funds not covered by their insurance company.

Nothing can ever compare to holding your precious child in your arms.  Please join us in raising support for couples desperately seeking a child of their own.

100% of the proceeds will go directly to fund infertility treatments for couples without insurance coverage.

Both grants are available to those who have no infertility provision through their insurance company.  They can be used for procedures such as IVF, Embryo Adoption and Gestational surrogacy.  Applicantions are open to singles/couples and same-sex couples.

About the Foundation

Starfish Infertility Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit group committed to providing financial support for those struggling with infertility in the United States.  The grants awarded will give couples that do not have insurance, nor the financial resources to pay for infertility treatments, the opportunity to fulfill their dream of a family.

In hopes of doing this, Starfish Infertility Foundation has established two grants, the Bexleigh Grant and the Braxton Grant, each named for my two amazing IVF miracles.

*Please Note-  The grant amounts will be dependent on fundraising efforts the previous year*

This grant will be awarded to couples living in and around (within 50 miles of) Nashville and who are uninsured for fertility treatments, and without the financial resources to personally fund treatments.  The grant can be used toward fertility treatments at any fertility clinic that is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).

The Braxton Grant will be awarded to couples living in the United States who are uninsured for fertility treatments, and without the financial resources to personally fund treatments.  The grant can be used toward fertility treatment at any fertility clinic that is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).

While we would love to offer grants to every applicant, not all applicants will receive grants. The grant amounts vary among the grant recipients, and partial and full grants can be awarded. What is covered (i.e. monitoring, lab work, medications, procedures, etc.) under the grant amount will be disclosed to each of the grant recipients at time of award and funds from the grant will be given directly to the clinic.  The funds from the grant will be available to the recipients for a period of twelve months.

*Eligibility: In order to be considered for a grant, couples must complete the application, write a detailed history about fertility issues, provide a letter from their doctor describing past fertility treatments, include proof of income with documentation, and allow the foundation to share their story with media personnel if they are selected. Applicants must demonstrate overall good physical and mental health, and show financial stability including basic health insurance for mother/prenatal care, adequate living arrangements and means for child support.
